About

A multidisciplinary design ideology

Our work spans multiple contexts to include real estate development, architecture, creative direction and product design.

We focus on projects that serve as a reflection of our time, current technology, and culture and places experience at the core of the design process in generating designs that captivate the senses and cultivate social inclusion and interaction.

Our mission is to invest time on projects that work towards the betterment of humanity, inspiring the way we live, learn, heal, work, and play. Sensitive to the ever-evolving needs of the built environment, our core areas of research have been net-zero energy and sustainable design, compact housing, and technology in design.

John Portman And Associates

Real Estate

We approach real estate development with a nuanced and intellectually rigorous philosophy. We view real estate as an art form that balances design excellence with strategic investment foresight, creating spaces that transcend aesthetics to deliver long-term financial and societal value. By integrating innovation, sustainability, and hospitality, we craft dynamic, adaptable environments that meet the evolving needs of businesses, families, and neighborhoods. At the core of our work is the belief that fostering community and connection is essential to urban vitality, driving our commitment to design spaces that not only serve practical functions but also cultivate a sense of belonging and shared experience.

Architecture

We believe in architecture that is synonymous with its programmatic, contextual and environmental needs; manipulated to generate unconventional building constructs to establish new, balanced anatomy of forms.

Our work is highly exploratory and research-oriented; grounded in a speculative process, promoting thinking, writing, and making. We use various digital technologies to advance the conceptual exploration of ideas. Interconnected to this, we deploy manual form of craftsmanship and continue to use drawing, painting and making by hand in creating new trajectories.

Interior Design

We collaborate with makers, artists, designers, and craftsmen to push the boundaries of design in each project and to provide our clients with spaces that are formed around their identity and requirements.

Project

Restore49 by Demirchelie and Project Artivisim, Architizer A+Awards

Restore – 49 was a bold initiative launched in March 2020 by merging architecture, art, and community in response to the COVID-19 shelter-in-place ordinance and the uncertainty of a rapid return to “normal” in the Bay Area. Amidst the scourge of the COVID-19 pandemic, small businesses and large retailers alike shuttered throughout the Bay Area, adhering to state mandates to protect employees and consumers while they faced an uncertain economic future. In a matter of weeks, storefronts preemptively were boarded up and secured to prevent looting and theft. With over 120,000 small businesses in San Francisco, this was an enormously consequential change in the urban scenery.
